Show moreThe first objective of IPRO 341 is to develop a hypothetical model of the life cycle of emerging technologies through historical analysis. The team has chosen four technologies the study of which we believe will allow us to construct a working model of the life cycle of an emerging technology. The second objective of IPRO 341 is to begin an in-depth look into emerging technologies and assess its political, social, and economic impacts. By applying our hypothetical model to the current trends of emerging technologies, we will predict the impacts that the introduction of emerging technologies will have on society as a whole. The third objective of IPRO 341 is to reassess our model after completing other research dealing with emerging technologies. Since the model we develop can only be a theoretical model, we will have to continuously revise our model depending on any new information that comes about during the development of emerging technologies. The fourth objective of IPRO 341 is to provide an overview as to the importance of researching emerging technologies; how they affect society and the importance to all stakeholders involved.

Show moreMany people around the world are in need of orthotic and/or prosthetic care due to pathologies that cannot be effectively treated any other way. There is a great need for establishing and sustaining educational opportunities. Our IPRO focuses on the population of South America, and more specifically Colombia. Our goal is to provide them with educational information to support their existing Orthotic and Prosthetic (O&P) Technician training program at Centro don Bosco in Bogotá. We will continue the work of previous IPROs by creating modules that concentrate on O&P solutions to pathologies that occur on different areas of the body, specifically upper limb, spine, and lower limb. This semester we will also test the effectiveness of our educational modules by using the modules exclusively to fabricate an actual orthotic device. Our modules will also be translated to Spanish for the audience in Colombia.

In creating the hotel students will be responsible for the structural analysis of columns, beams, foundation, steel, and concrete design required to insure all serviceability requirements. The students will be required to follow the 2006 International Building Code, and secure the safety of all possible occupants. Show moreLocated in Krakow, Poland, IPRO-349 is different from any other IPRO that has been implemented to date. Unlike its Illinois Institute of Technology counterparts, IPRO-349 is a study abroad, an internship and a partner project with students from Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza (AGH). Rather than separating into sub teams as a normal IPRO would, IPRO 349 is broken into completely different project groups. Each group could and should be considered a separate IPRO group. This project plan is from the perspective of Group 3.1 within IPRO-349 and adapted to fit the requirements of the company Comarch. This report deals with the reasoning behind IPRO-349 Group 3.1 and explains how the problems presented will be solved. It is divided into four sections. Section 1 assists in the understanding of the project by providing a brief introduction of Comarch and the project’s background, as well as a high level list of objectives. Section 2 expands on Section 1’s objectives by going into what type of work and how Group 3.1 will need to work in order to complete the objectives. Section 2 also explains what exactly is expected to result from their work. Section 3 goes into the most detail as it deals with the more specific aspects of the project such as its budget and the task list, designating who does what. The human resource assignment of the project is then discussed in Section 4, further identifying the individuals in Group 3.1 and what special skills they contribute to the project

Firstly it strives to create a comprehensive and in-depth database containing valuable information concerning sustainability. This database should be user-friendly and intuitively presented so people who are interested in sustainability are quickly educated with the key points and have easy access to relevant and high quality references and further readings. The second objective of this project essentially consists of creating a roadmap and master plan on how to make Illinois Institute of Technology’s (IIT) Main Campus sustainable. This will be done by auditing and then benchmarking IIT to other similar projects. This roadmap and master plan will be developed with the vision that once implemented IIT will be a leader in sustainability and encourage many others to follow our track. Lastly the third objective is to create a house of the future. The house of the future has many objectives for itself. It should incorporate current design possibilities and make use of various available technologies to be sustainable and energy efficient among other things. This house should attract the public and educate them how easily sustainability can be achieved using current technology and knowledge at a competitive price.
