Here, Shirley Schultz, 19, right, and Madge Rosenbaum, 18, left, are urged to go for a dip in cool Upper Trout Lake, 400 miles north of Chicago, where Illinois Tech each summer maintains a lodge and cabins for its civil engineering students who are required to take a field course in surveying. Miss Schultz, a junior at Illinois Tech, and Miss Rosenbaum, a sophomore at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, are the first coeds in 40 years to attend the camp which closes September 3. Their swimming partners are, left, Kirkby Strickland, sophomore, 1754 East 79th street, and, right, Guido J. Norini, senior, 1887 North Winnebago street, both of Chicago.
