Goodman attended Lewis Institute in 1923 as a high school sophomore while also playing the clarinet in a dance hall band. Show morePhotograph of Mollie Cohen, a 1924 graduate of the Lewis Institute, and former professor of English at Lewis and, later, Illinois Institute of Technology. At the time of her retirement in 1965, Cohen initiated the student poetry prize, which is now named in her honor. Cohen was honored at the 1968 convocation, which celebrated Illinois Tech's 75th anniversary. This photograph was used in conjunction with the convocation ceremony. Photographer unknown.
