By combining a work space, kitchen, sleeping area and bathroom, this project allows this compact space to allow for the comforts of a home to be available wherever a person can travel. These group homes are located in the community where inmates serve a period of time after being released from federal prison, in order to prepare for reentering the community. The inmates are required to go outside during the day to work or participate in community services. Law offenders are housed in penal establishments as a punishment not for punishment. Preservation of personality & prevention of deterioration call for as high a priority as efforts to bring about the inmates’ re-entry into the society. Hence the concept of correction, reformation & rehabilitation of prison inmates should come to the forefront of any community correction center’s adminstration. Show less

The project primarily is a connective element to unite surrounding communities as well as the conversion of an unused building. Physically, the proposition of the connective element manifests itself as an eco-boulevard, looking at a new interaction between surrounding community and a mostly absent natural environment. This begins by rethinking surface and its uses including green spaces, parks, farming, gardening, playgrounds and open space primarily used for industry. Show less

It will also help to educate and train the young tribesmen so they can contribute their knowledge to their local tribes.
