The building, located at 55 East 33rd Street, was constructed in the 1920s, remodeled in 1950, and demolished in 1975. The former Huber & Huber trucking terminal was acquired by the Armour Research Foundation in 1949. This building housed the Institute for Psychological Services in the years immediately prior to its demolition in 1975. Also known as: Huber and Huber Motor Express Building (1920s-1949), Armour Research Foundation Physics Research Building (ca. 1950s), Armour Research Foundation Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Building No. 2 (1959), Armour Research Foundation Service (1961), 33rd and Wabash Building (1960s), Wabash Building (1960s).

Show morePhotograph of Thomas R. Brown Hall during demolition in 1961. The building was designed by Francis M. Whitehouse of Burling & Whitehouse and was located at 3254 South Michigan Avenue. Once known as Cudahy mansion, this building was purchased in 1939 for graduate students. It served as one of IIT's Naval housing quarters from approximately 1943-45. After World War II, the building housed graduate students and, from 1948-61, the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Formerly known as Cudahy Mansion (1880s-1919) , Chicago Motor Club (1919-1929), Quarters 2 (1943-1946), Graduate House (1939-1943, 1946-1948), Brown House (1950s), Brown Hall.

Show morePhotograph of the buildings that once formed the east side of Illinois Institute of Technology's greek quadrangle, the Alpha Epsilon Pi, Theta Xi, and Tau Epsilon Phi houses, with Gunsaulus Hall visible. These three fraternity houses were designed by the architecture firm Mittelbusher & Tourtelot and constructed in 1960. The Alpha Epsilon Pi house (foreground) was demolished in 2007. The former Theta Xi house (middle) became the Alpha Sigma Alpha house ca. 2000, and the former Tau Epsilon Phi house (rear) was the law house for a brief period, and became the Kappa Phi Delta house in 2004. The building is located at 13 West 33rd Street. The building was constructed in the early 1940s to serve as as an Armour Research Foundation laboratory building and soon became the first headquarters of the Institute of Gas Technology. An addition was built for the IGT in 1944. The State Street Building also housed Illinois Tech's temporary gymnasium in the mid-1960s. Some reports indicate that this building included a row of 1880s storefronts along State Street, others that the pre-existing section of structure was built in 1926. The building was also known as: Institute of Gas Technology (1940s), Armour Research Foundation State Street Building (ca. 1945-ca. 1954), Armour Research Foundation Laboratory (1940s), Armour Research Foundation Chemistry Research Building 1 (1950s), Armour Research Foundation Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Building (ca. 1955), IIT Research Institute Laboratory (1960s), IIT Service (1960s). Show morePhotograph of Chapin Hall and the Physics Building, located at 3333 South Federal Street. Chapin Hall was designed by the firm Patton & Fisher. It was constructed in 1888, renovated in 1937 and demolished in 1968. Built as part of Armour Flats. In 1907, six sections of the building were christened Chapin Hall for Armour Institute use. When Armour Flats was demolished, these units left on Federal St. to the south of the Armour Mission building were left standing. When Chapin Hall was remodeled in 1937, two of its northern sections became the Physics Building. Photographer unknown.

McCormick Lounge serves as the entry point to the McCormick Student Village, which also includes the six residence halls that surround it. The 1992 renovation included work on the dining halls and common areas, as well as a new entrance. The dining hall portion of the building closed in 2003. Date of photograph is unknown.
