The film shows the different stages of the construction of the canoe, named the Aqua Hawk, and its eventual competition at a regional race held near Champaign, Illinois on April 24, 1976. Directed by Illinois Tech student Keith Keller, the film was narrated by Institute of Design instructor Charles Dee Sharp.
