The building, located at 55 East 33rd Street, was constructed in the 1920s, remodeled in 1950, and demolished in 1975. The former Huber & Huber trucking terminal was acquired by the Armour Research Foundation in 1949. This building housed the Institute for Psychological Services in the years immediately prior to its demolition in 1975. Brown Hall during demolition in 1961. The building was designed by Francis M. Whitehouse of Burling & Whitehouse and was located at 3254 South Michigan Avenue. Once known as Cudahy mansion, this building was purchased in 1939 for graduate students. It served as one of IIT's Naval housing quarters from approximately 1943-45. After World War II, the building housed graduate students and, from 1948-61, the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
