- Conceptual Design and Planning for the Environment of Chicago Area Health Clinics by Access Community Health (Semester Unknown) IPRO 340
- IPRO 340 is focused on the Conceptual Design and planning for Chicago Area health clinics by Access Community Health Network. The quality of health care today has definitely progressed over time and is continually progressing. As technology advances drive us into the 21st century new cures and medical practices are emerging, solving issues that could not be tackled before. But the problem of utilizing these cures and practices to serve the underinsured or financially challenged families is still an evident problem. Our IPRO will prepare the design related information for building a Health Care Center for the Future. This information consists of the legal regulations posed by JCAHO (Joint Commission of Accreditations for Healthcare Organizations), site visits and audits, and a program booklet for the design of the actual Facility. This information will be reinforced in process maps and research done on state of the art technology for healthcare centers and utilized in further developing the facility program and design. Our IPRO believes the facility should be designed to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of health care., Deliverables

- Cottage and Area Physical Modeling for Enhancing a Classic Country Club (Semester Unknown) IPRO 320
- The IPRO 320 team is tasked with assisting Olympia Fields Country Club in making 3D models of their cottages and designing a bridge. Modeling all 26 cottages will necessitate the accurate collection of data from the cottages at the site. This will require the team to first survey the site and collect field data including measurements and digital photographs. After the data is collected, modeling of the cottages will start using computer software. This will be put into a presentable format for the country club. Also a publication is to be made on the process used in the collection of field data. The designing of the new bridge will serve as a Capstone requirement working with Robinson Engineering. Achieving this objective will require information from the site as well as an understanding of regulations involved in constructing a bridge. The model of the bridge will be presented to the country club as a possibility for replacing the existing deteriorating bridge. This document will give an extensive overview of the IPRO project. It will provide information on team members, details of the project procedure, and goals and expectations of the project. Work ethics and how to resolve team issues will be discussed. Also a brief history on Olympia Fields Country Club will be given., Deliverables

- Balancing Copyright and Access in Digital Collections
- This presentation discusses rights issues faced by archives when building digital collections. Copyright, at times, is given a low priority during digitization project planning. Yet. determining copyright status, articulating rights statements, and providing access while protecting rights holders can be complicated, time-consuming tasks. Investigating rights is especially daunting for archives, given their great amount of unpublished materials and orphan works. As a result, there is a strong temptation to “blanket” digital collections with restrictive access and use statements. This presentation suggests methods for identifying copyright status, determining suitability for web distribution, and choosing appropriate rights statements using sample items from UASC's Institute of Design Records, 1937-1955,

- Double Jeopardy: Womersley, McDonald, and WADC TR 56-614
- An Air Force technical report, known by two titles and closeted from public view not once but twice, was freed of restrictions via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by the staff of the Paul V. Galvin Library in 2015. This allowed the report to be scanned and posted online as part of Galvin's Contrails digital initiative. This presentation follows the history of the report and its importance in the field of hemodynamics. The report has been cited under one title at least 200 times, and under the other title at least 100 times, and continues to be cited under both titles to the present day. Theories are presented that explain the emergence of the two varying titles, the role of government restrictions on public availability of the report played in the continued inconsistency of citations, and the variation of the patterns of citations based on the type of publications in which the report was cited. In summation, this presentation will provide an anecdotal example of the damage inflicted on scientific research by arbitrary government restrictions on the availability of taxpayer funded research, illustrating the value of the successful FOIA request.

- Legal Research Teaching Modules - Handout for Galvin Conference May 2016
- Examples of the 12 modules the Law School Research Librarians teach. These legal research teaching modules are designed to provide point-of-need training by librarians in Legal Writing I classes. Instructors are offered a basic "menu" of lectures to choose from, or research librarians are prepared to tailor individual lectures to the needs of each instructor. This provides both the instructor and the research librarians the flexibility to schedule classes as they see fit, with the goal of reaching students at the ideal time with each lecture.

- Group Study and Beyond Poster IACRL2016
- Group Study Suite at Galvin Library tells us there is a definite need for collaborative space for group study, but the bottom line is availability of flexible space. For libraries flexible available space affords the opportunity to provide a multitude of services needed by their patrons. Poster shows how we started with group study space with 4 study room and conference room. Now we have added an exploration space consisting of 2 3D printers, 2 button makes and 2 3D pens. The group study at Galvin Library is an on-going evolution of a flexible space that meets the needs of its patrons.

- Web-Based Support for Diabetes (semester?), IPRO 315
- The main objective of this team is to learn the current software of GlucoSim and its website, and to improve them in it in four aspects: Nutrition, Glycemic Index, GlucoSim and Software. Each aspect will have a sub-group dedicated to the necessary work. The finished project will hopefully be published on the web as a free tool for those who are interested in learning the effects of glucose on the body, with the major demographic being diabetic patients, Deliverables for IPRO 315: Web-Based Support for Diabetes for the Fall 2005 semester

- ACCESS Healthcare Perinatal Care (semester ?) IPRO 340
- The objective of the Immunization group is to evaluate ACCESS Community Health Care’s immunization program and provide suggestions for improvements to the program. The focus will be on the implementation the TOTS system (Tracking our Toddlers’ Shot) in the program. In order to successfully evaluate the program, the team will visit health centers to investigate the process of immunization from the first time a child is immunized at a center to when all the required shots are administered. This time period includes the time when the child was born up to his/her adolescent age. Our goal is to suggest a method or improvements in tracking the immunization progress of the child once he/she enters an ACCESS site, Sponsorship: Access Community Health Network, Deliverables for IPRO 340: Access Healthcare Perinatal Care for the Spring 2005 semester

- Searching for Novel Drug Targets (semester?), IPRO 318
- Over the course of the term, IPRO 318 made progress in the “[Search] for Novel Drug Targets.” This IPRO is part of an ongoing effort to try to find potential drug targets on pathogenic proteins. During past terms, IPRO 318 has compiled information on proteins that are known to be involved in diseases in a disease gene database. By comparing this to a database of hypothetical genes, possible high value proteins were found. This term IPRO 318 continued the lab work on the high value proteins found in previous semesters, found new ones and began lab work on those proteins, continued work on the databases, and started a new allergen database., Deliverables for IPRO 318: Searching for Novel Drug Targets for the Fall 2007 semester
