Computational uid dynamics is the numerical study of the motion of uids. In this thesis, an introduction to uid mechanics is presented and the governing equations of uid mechanics are derived. The open-source computational uid dynamics library OpenFOAM is then used to simulate uid dynamics and to model the formation and movement of bubbles in a tank.
