  <abstract>The studio focuses on a specific project, but in an investigative and experimental manner. This semester, the project is a University Campus of a medium size, located in Dubai, UAE, currently under design in the College of Architecture, Illinois Institute of Technology. The class will be divided into three working groups. Group 1 was assigned to the main University Building, Group 2 was assigned to the College of Engineering Building and Group 3 was assigned to the Student Center Building. Every group will develop energy conscious concepts for the design with special consideration to integrate PV, wind energy and other applicable technologies. Each group will survey and conduct extensive research on traditional architecture that is deeply rooted in the culture and religion. The end result of each project is expected to consist of cutting edge architectural solution, which will help provide insight into methods for integrating environmental concerns into architectural design process.</abstract>
