A total of 25 paintings are being dis— played. The majority of the paintings were completed during the past summer while Dr. Richter was vis- iting the New England coastal area, and depict scenes of that ‘locale. Five additions have been made since an Evanston showing of the works in February. Illinois Tech alumnae will spon- sor a tea Sunday in the NU lounge to provide a special opportunity for Tech graduates to_ view the exhibit. In addition to Dr. Richter’s water colors, those present will pre- view the $200,000 miniature collec‘ tion recently presented to the school by Miss Magda Heuermann. Dr. Richter will present a history of ~ miniatures as a part of the after- ,noon’s program. The water colors will remain on exhibition through April 1. The E‘ miniature collection is at present housed in President Heald’s office, and is not open to public View. The board of directors of Technology Film Unit met Friday to settle the problem of a project for the first part of this seine iter. It was decided by the board to put on two projects at the same time, one the making of an abstract movie for use with the organization’s film programs on Thursday evening‘sand Friday af- ternoons, and the other a realistic story from life in the form of a play to be written by the members of TFU. Don Drury has been named as chairman of the commit- tee working on abstraction and Warren Lieb as director of the real— ism committee. The next meeting was then set for Monday, April 3. Today at 2 pin. and again at 4 p.m., the film program will feature the threednillion—dollar technicolor production “I’ve Always Loved You,” based on the life of Serge Rachmaninoff. The music of Artur Rubinstein is promised to add that finishing touch to excellent enter- tainment. Single admissions will be available at both showings, starting ten minutes before each performance. The program is run four times each week, twice Thurs- day at 6 and 8 p.m.. and twice on Friday at 2 and 4 p.m., all in 131MC.
