THOMAS GLEASON As head of a slate of candidates ‘w—Aikin, Sahli, Volpe and Johnson y-—-I welcome this opportunity to ’ let the voters who do not already know us know how we stand on the issues that will confront them. -_ Always the interests of all the tudents will come first, not those f any one, two or three individual roups. We shall try to avoid un- ‘ecessary losses due to an unrealis- ically close schedule of social af- fairs. We intend to work closely with I.T.S.A. and other class oili- ers. We shall try to minimize tile ost of such functions as th e Senior Farewell.” We approve of oil the Senior class before reach- ng any decision of our own. This , ur platform and we shall see hat it is carried out. ‘ Thomas ‘“ ROBERT KARLICEK As a candidate for the senior class president, I feel that there are certain basic problems of deep interest to students of the senior class. The future president should be aware and vitally concerned with such problems as job place- ment, the so-called non-profit cafe— terias and bookstore, and the in— adequate study halls on the cam- pus. I clearly recognize these problems and firmly believe that it is the obligation of the next class president to use the power and'in— fluence of the office of class presi— dent toward their solution. And finally, I can only add that if I am elected, I will honestly and faithfully represent the students of the senior class to the best of my ability. Robert Karlicek EVERYONE ls ELIGIBLE TO VOTE FOR THE ”SA JUNIOR MEMBER-ATv-LARGE MARKS LEVY The. senior year in college should be the one most remembered by students.” Instruments in fulfilling this aim would be periodic open meetings of the class, discussing the social cal- endar, placement, and to insure everyone of keeping well informed of class activities through fre- quent statements of progress. Qualifications of a class presi— dent are administrative ability and experience. My qualifications, while few, should speak for themselves. I was recently re—elected to the presidency of my fraternity, am completing a year as business man- ager of the Railroad club, worked as sportswriter for the Technology News for four semesters, and was one of the organizers of the Intra- mural tennis tournament. I wish to say that I will, to the best of my ability, fulfill the wishes of the Senior class, and make their final college year a memorable one.
