Porter. speak at the Marketing club meet- ing Wednesday, January 11, in 102MC atvll p.111. Mr. Porter is the director of sales promotion and sales training with Standard Oil Company of In- diana. He speaks, however, as a representative of the Chicago Sales Executive club. In his speech, “The Engineer in Sales Work,” he will point out the increasing demand for engineers in this field. He will illustrate with specific examples from Standard Oil’s recently com- pleted five month intensive sales training program for engineers. A graduate engineer, Mr. Porter has taught chemical engineering and is familiar with the adapta- tions an engineer must make from technical work to meeting the cus~ tomer as a salesman.
