The meet will be run off in the boy’s gym 501M. Wednesday, March 19, 12 p.1n., is the deadline for entries. Men wish- ing: to enter a squad should list the team name-and the names, depart monk, and year of all their players. These lists are to ho deposited in the intramural box in the lobby of the Student Union. The teams must consist of players all from the name year, or the same department. Each team is required to gurnish at least. one man to act as a referee for the duration of the tournament. Any team which does not furnish a referee will not be allOWed to en- ter the tournament. Referees must contact Larry Shapiro by one o’clock Friday He can be found in “Sonny” Weissman 8 office from 12 to 1 p.111. each weekday The schedule of games will be posted on the intramural board in the Student Union lobby. The school- ule of opening games will be up on Thursday. Games will begin at 5:15 p.1n., and teams musL be ready for play by 5:25 or the game will be forfeited. The games will consiat of two fifteen minute halves. Re- sults of games are to he dropped into the intramural box the follow~ ing day. The basketball tourney is to be run on a double elimination basis. This method oi play has been Chosen for several reasons said Shapiro. First of all, the late snarl of the meet he as made the round robin sys- tem impossible. Secondly, double elimination gives a team a chance to come back and prove its caliber after an ”00.” day”, while a single elimination tourney is greatly a matter of luck and is not a fair test of a team’s strength, added Shapiro. .1» ugly": 11; 09151.1")! aEll“?I‘Vl‘iliiag K'I‘Ii‘ 1111111310143 33011!) 3UMII“ "We on lay K‘iilns, sin. 23’5”; Miller, 1 1mm». seen d: Lou timid.
