Also each sorority sends to the Faancllcnic sponsor a formal bid to member-Ship for each girl they desire as n, pledge. First Choice and commit}; bid for each girl are matched and at the formal pledge meeting the girls are notified. of their acceptance as a prospective pledge. The period of pledgeship and the various pledge dutcis vary ac» cording to the individual sorority’s policies. “It is hoped," said Mics Mollie Cohen, oponoor of the Council, “that this simplified procedure will prove successful and that it will be adopted no a permanent constitutional amcnd~ ment."
