However, three more players have been added to the squad to bring the squad back to size; Carl Bergstrom, captain, Charles Futter— or, and Warren Sommors. The chhawks got off to a slow start against Concordia, and were behind 7 to 0 before the first Tech basket was scored. The Techawlcs then pulled up during the first half, and after being ahead several times, were behind 21 to 19 at the half. Fall Behind in Second Half In the second half, the chhawks Wearied and the Concordia Five pulled into the lead to stay there. The final tally was Concordia 51, Illinois Tech 39. The loss of Grable and Murphy has been a serious blow to the team, since they were the squad's loading: scorers. The team has been working: out every morning during the holiv days in order to make up for the lay off during; final exams. Due to losses from graduation and scholastic ineligibility, the squad now numbers 11 men. They are: Bill Smart, John Fleck, Joe Mclek, Warren Summers, forwards; Carl Bcréstrom, Jim Oldshue, centers; and Charles Futterer, Denny O’Geary, Roy Schimmelpfcnig, John Bailey, Charles Swanson, guards.
