One of these follows is John Cotter. John would have made any man’s all- star team ercept for the fact that he is not a regular student here. The other person that deserves at- tention at this point is Bob Lade- vich who, before becoming injur~ ed in the early part of the season, played a stellar role with the Junior Mechs. Newly appointed manager, Bob Kerney, has announced a squad meeting for this evening at 5 pm. in UZW. All returning lettermen and squad members must be there along with every prospective camp didate. Equipment will be issued and plans for the coming year are to be discussed. Another meeting will he held next Monday after- noon at which acting Coach Remic Meyer will address the team. The valiant but outclassed Jerks lost by three touchdowns to one—19 to 6. in the first half the Jerks had a strong gale behind them as the main cog in their defense. Al- though Mechs’ offense was held in check by the wind, their de- fense easily bottled up the weak Jerk offense. On the third play of the second half, George “Swivel Hips” Ped~ erson intercepted, a Jerk aerial on the Jerk 20 yd. line Bob Neuhaus then shot a pass to Bob Ericson to give the Maths :1 6 to 0 lead. The second Mech touchdown came on another Neuhaus to Eric- son bullet. pass after Ericson had intercepted another Jork pass. Neuhaus to Frank Jencius pass scored the extra point to give the Mechs a 13 to 0 lead. Next to score were the Jerks, as Len Wasielewski intercepted a Mach pass and sprinted 40 yards for a touchdown. The final touch- down was scored when Mike Ca~ rey snagged a pass from Neuhaua.
