It was a trial year for our new basketball coach, Rcmlo Meyer, and he proved himself a reel lead- er. Coach Meyer took over a team which had only one major letter winner from last year, Captain Haul: Sliwa. Several of the pros- pective stars coming up from the fine freshman team that Bill O’Brien turned out last year: had dropped out of school. Among them were Captain ‘Casey’ Jones, leader of the freshmen uprisings.
