Rentals and access to various recreational activities that had once required payment are now free. While free recreation had already included items such as table tennis, disc golf, and sets for the game of Bags, ice skate rentals and billiards games are now free in the MTCC. This also means that all Bog recreation, which includes bowling, billiards, table tennis, darts, and video games, will be completely free as well. After a great deal of feedback from commuter students regarding their current lounge, the commuter lounge will be moved to the Bog. As of February 9, the space will be open from 11 am. — 5 pm. Monday through Wednesday and 11 am. — 1 am. on Thursdays and Fridays. This will accommodate commuters as well as students heading to the Bog to take advantage of its various recreational facilities 1 during the evenings. Though bowling will not be available to students during the daytime hours, they will be able to take advantage of the billiards tables, table tennis, and video games. In addition to this, Union Board’s Bog Committee has purchased equipment for Cosmic Bowling in the Bog. There are plans to have Cosmic Bowling nights at least once every month this semester.
