One area that the office has greatly expanded is outside scholarship resources. Within the past year, the office has found and posted dozens of scholarship opportunities on our website (http://www.iit.edu/financial_aid/ scholarships/). A scholarship channel was added to the Finances tab on the MyHT portal with scholarship opportunities and deadlines. Finally, the office obtained several books full of outside scholarship opportuni— ties. Each outside scholarship is handled by students to make time to search for outside funding. Extra scholarship funds can be a great way to reduce your bill or cut down on your loan debt. Please keep in mind that out— side funds may impact your current financial aid package. If you are awarded an outside scholarship, feel free to stop by our office so we can give you the specifics on how your new award will impact your overall aid. As always, please let us know if you have ques— tions about this process or your aid package. You can reach us at finaid@iit.edu or 312— 567—7219.
