Tau Beta Pi spring initiation By Young Sand Ip STAFF WRITER Last Saturday, Engineering Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi (TBP), initiated 13 new members, including the Dean of Armour College of En— gineering, Natacha DePaola. This semester, the chapter continued with the new initiation process that required student candidates to earn their membership credits by attending workshops, getting a recommendation letter, and completing an interview with a member of the executive board. The Initiation Ceremony marked the successful completion of the can— didate’s hard work where they were finally in— ducted into the Society. Dean DePaola is our Chapter’s newest Eminent Engineer. Eminent Engineers are in— dividuals who have made significant contribu— tions to both engineering and society and are nominated by individual chapters to become members of Tau Beta Pi. Dean Depaola is very excited about all the things the chapter has g0— ing on and recommended that a connection be formed between all engineering groups on campus to share resources and events. This, not only, allows for bigger and bolder events, it opens up more social and networking oppor— tunities for students on campus.
