Tech Swimmers Medley Relay Event GGOD 'l‘llVlES RECORDED Win A strong Loyola tank team sub~ merged the Armour splashers in a return meet held at the victors‘ pool last Thursday night by a score of 53 to 27, Despite the one—sided score, every event of the meet was well contested by the Engineerg who forced the Loyola stars to ex- tend themselves to the utmost. In the first duel between the two schools, Loyola had rather an easy time of it by taking firllt in every race. many of which were not even close. Loyola was thwarted from sweep, ing the events in this meet by los- ing to the Techawk medley team of Bernstein, Knaus, and Ahorn in the 150 yard relay. Armour scored five second, and live third places besides winning the medley relay for the to— tal of 27 points. The two Loyola. stars, Brydenthal and Ertz, each captured two events, while their able assistants, Kearns and Elwell, took care of the other races. Loyola Capturez 'l Firsts Loyola jumped into the lead by capturing the 200 yard relay event in the fast time of 1 :45.8. The door? With the coming of the balmy weather mem- bers of the Tech golf team begin to polish up their clubs and prepare for an active season. Prospects for the coming; season are far from dull. The return of two lettcrmen, Captain Larry David- son and Bill Ahern, is in itself sig— nificant. Tom Wattley, Jack Shana- bun, and Bob Richards round out the group of experienced golfers: upon which the team will probably be built. All are capable of playing a consistent round of golf.
