College by '17 points to 49 points and win- ning eight first places. The meet was held at the “Y” College track. Storm of Armour took individ~ ual honors by taking three first places, the 100-yard dash, the 220— yard dash, and the 440—yard dash. Armour won all three places in the 880-yard run, the mile run, and the two—mile run. Podlipec scored first place in the 880-yard run, beating Timmermans by only a few feet, while Doubt trailed third. The mile run was easily won by James with Smith second and Richter third. Smith headed the two—mile run and Jillson won the 220—yard low hurdles. Paul won the shot put and Yount took second place. Numerous errors by both teams made possible the score. Stehno and Graham pitched for Armour, while Link and Yacht did the receiving. Reichle poled a fluke homer when outfield errors helped him to complete the circuit. De Kalb scored 11 runs al— though they were able to gather but nine hits from the slants of the Armour hurlers.
